Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara
Wake up at 6:30am and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you will spend the entire day on game drives, heading out with a picnic lunch. The Masai Mara is renowned for its lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo, which comprise the Big Five. However, spotting leopards and rhinos can be challenging as they are pretty shy and elusive. The park's concentration of wildlife is truly extraordinary!
You will proceed to the Mara River, where the great migration of wildebeests occurs every year. Lunch will be served here, and guests are advised not to feed the monkeys as they may try to snatch some of your fruits—this behavior is typical in this area.
While at the river, you can visit the hippo pool, where you might see crocodiles basking on the rocks. You will also see numerous plains game, including antelopes, wildebeests, zebras, and Masai giraffes, as well as scavengers like hyenas and vultures. After lunch, we will continue exploring the park as we return to camp.
